Our Mission
We Enhance the lives of low-income, special needs and minority families by providing counseling, short term housing and other basic needs.
The Why?
Being the caregiver for a special needs and terminally ill child changed my life in ways I never knew it would. One thing I regret was waiting too long to get therapy. As a Christian and minister, I did not realize I buried my pain, fear, and disappointment. I spent my son's first three years sleeping on hospital chairs or couches and maintaining my role in the local church because "God is Good." God is good. But, He is also not afraid of our pain and weaknesses. Years of no sleep staying up with my son, counseling, and ministering to others, plus serving as an advocate to minority mothers in hospitals took a significant toll on my overall well-being. I've met so many mothers without a voice and no options to help their children. Add to that agony the exhaustion that comes with caregiving, and it's a recipe for disaster. These moms need therapy, they need sleep., they need advice and a place to go for solitude and rescue. It's my life's mission to revolutionize tangible solutions for this community.
